S. Korean Men Turn to Knitwear for Work Despite Summer Heat

SEOUL, July 30 (Korea Bizwire)Men’s knitwear is gaining popularity despite the summer heat.

Henry Cotton’s, a Kolon Industries FnC’s fashion brand for men, reported that five products among its top 10 bestsellers between July 1 and 27 were ‘Ripley Knits.’

Cambridge Members, another Kolon Industries FnC’s male fashion brand, reported a 150 percent year-on-year increase in sales of ‘Breeze Knit,’ a short-sleeved knit top, between January 1 and July 27.

LF’s Maestro, the company’s lead male fashion brand, increased its line-up of summer knitwear by 60 percent compared to last year. Among LF online mall’s five bestsellers in July, four were knit clothes from the ‘Timeless’ line-up.

“Knitwear with a collar looks casual and official at the same time, and has become popular among men looking for practicality and convenience,” LF said.
