BUSAN, May 31 (Korea Bizwire)A South Korean startup has come up with a solution to speed up the recovery of the natural environment damaged by disasters and accidents.

Code of Nature, a startup located in the southeastern port city of Busan, developed the disaster recovery kit using moss spore cultivation.

The kit artificially cultivates spores for moss, a bryophyte species similar to a plant seed, which are dried and mixed with a special compound that expedites the growth of bryophytes, and kept in a dormant state until they are put to use in natural disasters.

With the help of the compound, the spores can grow significantly faster, putting a stop to the desertification of damaged forests and mountains.

The development was inspired by the fact that moss assumes the vital role of maintaining humidity by capturing mist and dew.

Moss that has successfully settled in an environment collects the nitrogen and phosphorus from the land, and works as a vehicle for the growth of trees, expediting nature’s recovery.

This is a great article. I can’t find anything on the company. Is there somewhere I can find more information? I’d like to learn more about what they are doing! It would be great to collaborate.
