SEOUL, Dec. 2 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s exports of cosmetic products reached an all-time high of US$9.3 billion through November this year in an estimate, the country’s drug safety agency said Monday.
The combined exports of cosmetic products for the January-November period exceeded the previous yearly high of $9.2 billion recorded in 2021, according to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
The country’s outbound shipments of cosmetic products have been on a steady rise since 2014.
Overseas sales of cosmetic products grew from $1.8 billion in 2014 to $4.9 billion in 2017, $7.6 billion in 2020, $9.2 billion in 2021 and $8.5 billion in 2023.
