SEJONG, Feb. 7 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korea’s total supply in manufacturing fell in the fourth quarter from a year earlier on a decline in domestic supply, government data showed Wednesday.

The manufacturing domestic supply index — which measures both goods produced locally and brought into South Korea — declined 3.3 percent on-year to stand at 112.5 during the October-December period, according to the data compiled by Statistics Korea.

The on-year contract is due to a decline in domestic supply, which was affected by a drop in autos and steel processing.

South Korean-made goods dropped 6.6 percent in the fourth quarter from a year earlier, while imported products saw their index jump 4.3 percent on-year.
