SEOUL, Nov. 14 (Korea Bizwire) — A South Korean military couple has celebrated the first birthday of their quintuplets.
Army Capt. Seo Hye-jeong and and Army Capt. Kim Jin-soo from the 17th Infantry Division held the first birthday party of their five children in Masan, South Gyeongsang Province.
The quintuplets were born at Seoul National University Hospital on Nov. 18 last year. One of the rarest events in world history, they became the first quintuplets born in South Korea since 1987.
In celebration of the quintuplets’ birthday, Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup sent silver necklaces and a congratulatory message to the family.
First lady Kim Keon-hee also sent a handwritten letter congratulating the family, along with wooden toys and presidential watches.
