SEOUL, Aug. 25 (Korea Bizwire)South Korea’s sleep technology firms are introducing a range of customized solutions by harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze sleep patterns and provide personalized assessments.

Sleep tracking software startup Asleep has created an AI model capable of analyzing sleep stages solely through breathing sounds. It can also identify sleep-related hypoventilation and sleep apnea in real-time.

Building on this technology, the company offers an integrated service through smart devices and a sleep measurement app called Sleep Routine.

Recently, the company entered into a business agreement with healthcare startup Algocare to bolster the healthcare ecosystem and exchange data concerning nutritional conditions and sleep analysis.

ResMed Korea, the local unit of U.S. based medical equipment maker, offers an application myNight that empowers individuals to self-diagnose sleep apnea.

Its central innovation lies in the utilization of sonar detection technology and sleep tracking functionality, streamlining the sleep apnea diagnosis process.

Meanwhile, another local startup 3boon1 has unveiled a smart mattress Sleep Cube, which employs AI technology to optimize temperatures throughout the entire sleep cycle.

By leveraging data from a sleep sensor that gauges users’ breathing rates as they lie down, this mattress ensures ideal temperature regulation during the complete sleep duration.
