SEOUL, Aug. 6 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung E&A Co., a plant engineering arm of Samsung Group, said Wednesday it has won a 36 billion-won (US$26 million) order for the initial design and planning of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Indonesia.
Under a letter of award, the company will carry out front-end engineering design (FEED) for the INPEX Abadi Onshore LNG Project, according to the company in a regulatory filing.
The project, led by Japanese oil and gas explorer Inpex Corp., aims to liquefy natural gas from the Abadi Gas Field at an onshore facility to produce around 9.5 million tons of LNG annually.
Samsung E&A said it will work in partnership with Adhi Karya, Indonesia’s state-owned construction firm, and KBR Indonesia, the local unit of U.S. energy engineering company KBR Inc.
