SEOUL, Dec. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics said on December 21 that it would start selling a 34-inch ultra-wide curved monitor “SE790C” in the home market. The SE790C is the latest monitor model of Samsung that won a CES Innovation award ahead of the CES 2015 to be held in January next year. The new model offers comfortable, crisp picture quality with the curvature radius of 3,000 mm (3000R). It boasts a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and a fast response time of 4 milliseconds.
Built with the sophisticated metallic materials, the monitor has been optimized for ergonomic usability. For those users who need a variety of functionalities, the SE790C is embedded with the picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture features.
Kim Seok-ki, executive for Samsung’s digital imaging business division, said, “The SE790C curved monitor is a truly innovative product that will change the paradigm of the flat-screen TV market. I am sure it will be a monitor that will make the user feel comfortable in their eyes.” The company will kick off preorder sales of the item on its online store “Samsung Electronics Store” at the price of 1.25 million won. For those customers who make a purchase through the preorder event, the company will give away a free 128-gigabyte solid-state drive.
