SEOUL, Aug. 29 (Korea Bizwire)Samsung Electronics announced on August 27 that it installed its Smart Signage TVs in the BMW Driving Center, the first such center in Asia, in Yeongjong Island where Incheon International Airport is located.

The Smart Signage TV, an LED-lit TV with an embedded HDTV tuner, media player and Wi-Fi, enables stores to do customized in-store promotions and provide useful information. As Samsung has considered signage TVs as a niche product, it puts forth their efforts to foster the industry. Now quite a lot of airports, hotels and enterprises try to install the TVs for their in-shop promotion.

In order to fully utilize the signage TVs in the driving center, the electronic company partnered with BMW from the beginning of the construction. A total of 75 TVs were set up all over the center from the lobby to the exhibition spaces. All of the TVs can be controlled at the central office.

In particular, interactive games such as “Make Your Own Eco Vehicle” are played on the signage TVs in experience classes for children, which have gained popularity among kids and their families.

“We are planning to promote our brand image by using Samsung signage TVs enabling customized business content to be shown at the first BMW Driving Center in Asia where people can enjoy BMW vehicles,” a manager in BMW Korea said.
