Samsung Electronics to Open ‘Forest of Wind’ at Seoul Grand Park

SEOUL, South Korea, Aug 19 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics hosted a tree planting ceremony and concert to celebrate the cultivation of the ‘Forest of Wind’ at Seoul Grand Park in cooperation with the Korea Energy Management Corporation (KEMCO) on August 17. Officials from both companies and Seoul Grand Park, and figure skating star Kim Yuna attended the event.          

Samsung Electronics and KEMCO signed an agreement for the conservation of energy and the spread of the culture of sharing last February, and have promoted its ‘Actual Campaign to Conserve Energy’ for the creation of the ‘Forest of Wind.’

An official of Samsung Electronics said, “The ‘Forest of Wind’ to be completed next May will be an environment-friendly landmark, and will be able to offer clean and cool air to the many visitors at Seoul Grand Park. Samsung Electronics will continue to lead efforts to conserve energy.”
