SEOUL, April 3 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics announced Thursday that viewers will now be able to enjoy Netflix content in sharper and more vibrant quality through HDR10+ on its 2025 lineup of smart TVs and select 2024–2025 monitors, including Neo QLED, OLED, and The Frame models.
HDR10+ is a next-generation video standard led by Samsung that enhances picture quality by dynamically adjusting brightness and contrast on a scene-by-scene basis, delivering greater depth and more accurate color representation.
Netflix has adopted HDR10+ using the AV1 codec, an internationally recognized video compression standard, to deliver high-quality content to users.
Samsung said it plans to expand its partnerships beyond Netflix to offer HDR10+ content across more streaming platforms, as part of a broader push to strengthen the HDR10+ ecosystem.
Since establishing HDR10+ Technologies LLC in 2018, Samsung has worked with over 170 global partners to promote adoption through certification programs, logo licensing, and free technical support for content production.
“We will continue to drive technological innovation in collaboration with global partners to ensure customers enjoy the best possible viewing experience,” said Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business.
