SEOUL, Jan. 1 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics announced on Wednesday the release of its AI-enabled PC, the Galaxy Book5 Pro, set to hit the South Korean market on January 2. The new device boasts cutting-edge AI features, designed to enhance productivity and user experience.

Equipped with Intel’s Core Ultra Processor Series 2 (codenamed “Lunar Lake”), the Galaxy Book5 Pro supports up to 47 TOPS (trillion operations per second) with its neural processing unit (NPU), enabling efficient execution of AI-driven tasks.

A standout feature is the AI Select function, powered by Samsung’s “Galaxy AI,” which allows users to quickly search for images, text, and other content—a first for the Galaxy Book lineup.

Samsung also announced plans to roll out future updates to enable Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC functionality on the Galaxy Book5 Pro.

Available in two sizes—16-inch (40.6 cm) and 14-inch (35.6 cm)—and two colors, gray and silver, the Galaxy Book5 Pro offers options tailored to various user preferences.

In addition, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360, launched in October 2024 as an online-exclusive product on Samsung’s website, will now be available in major offline stores and online retailers starting January 2.

To incentivize early adopters, Samsung is offering the MS Office Home 2024 suite to customers who purchase the Galaxy Book5 Pro by January 16. Buyers can also claim additional perks through the “Galaxy Book Members” app until March 31.

As part of its “AI Upgrade Reward” program, Samsung is encouraging customers to trade in their old laptops or tablets. The promotion, which runs through March 31, offers bonus compensation on top of the standard trade-in value, making it easier for users to transition to the new AI-powered devices.

With these initiatives, Samsung aims to bring the latest AI innovations to a broader audience, solidifying its position in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
