SEOUL, May 1 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics, an official partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), has unveiled the “Samsung Olympic Experience Center” in Paris, France, in anticipation of the 2024 Summer Olympics.

On April 29, Samsung held an opening ceremony for the center at 125 Champs-Élysées in Paris.

The event was attended by Roh Tae-moon, president of Samsung’s MX Division; Etienne Thobois, CEO of the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee; Team Galaxy athletes Johan Defay (France, surfing), Karam Singh (Britain, breaking), and Ugo Didier (France, Paralympic swimming); and officials from the IOC and the city of Paris.

The Samsung Olympic Experience Center was designed in collaboration with renowned French architect Jean Nouvel, a Pritzker Prize laureate considered the Nobel of architecture.

Drawing inspiration from 17th-century French “salons” where culture, art, and knowledge were exchanged, the center embodies Samsung’s openness and Nouvel’s design philosophy of capturing the beauty of light.

“Every space in the Samsung Olympic Experience Center was designed to express Samsung’s brand spirit of openness,” said Nouvel.

“By utilizing graphics that capture the infinite movements of light, we enabled visitors to visually experience the innovation of Galaxy devices.”

The center will be open from May 3 to October 31, welcoming anyone interested in experiencing the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics.

Visitors can engage with various events, games featuring new Olympic sports like breaking and skateboarding, and short-form video creation to explore the innovative features of Galaxy AI.

Additionally, a dedicated area showcases past Olympic Edition smartphones, illustrating Samsung’s long-standing partnership with the Olympic Games and its commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology.

Beyond the Champs-Élysées location, Samsung plans to open and operate additional Olympic Experience Centers at the Olympic Park, the Athletes’ Village, and the Media Center during the Olympic period.

The company will also set up Samsung Galaxy Charging Stations at key venues, offering visitors an innovative Galaxy experience.

“With the slogan of the 2024 Paris Olympics being ‘Games Wide Open,’ Samsung will strive to ensure that athletes and fans from around the world can enjoy a more meaningful Olympic experience by staying closely connected.”

Anne-Sophie Voumard, the head of Television and Marketing Services at the IOC, expressed her delight in sharing the values of the “Games Wide Open” slogan through the Samsung Olympic Experience Center.

“It is impressive to see Samsung, which has created new Olympic experiences with its innovative technology for decades, continuing to elevate the experiences of Olympic fans worldwide through initiatives like this center,” she said.
