Along with the release of the Galaxy Note 8 in India, Samsung has announced it will begin offering its artificial intelligence-based assistant service Bixby, which has been optimized to understand the English language spoken with an Indian accent, and is considering plans to add a new feature that digitally detects Hindi characters.

According to market researcher GfK, Samsung has been topping the smartphone market share in the world’s third largest market after China and the U.S. for years, and the trend is set to continue for some time amid political tensions between India and China that dented the overseas earnings of Chinese smartphone makers.
