SEOUL, Dec. 10 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. has supplied ultra-large smart LED displays to global cruise operator MSC Cruises for the new ship MSC Grandiosa.
The Grandiosa, which began operations in Italy last month, is the world’s sixth-largest cruise ship and can accommodate up to 6,334 people.
Samsung installed curved LED displays with a total area of 580 square meters on the interior galleria ceiling of the cruise ship.
The total length of the display is 93 meters, similar to the height of Big Ben, a landmark in London, England.
The curved display offers a brightness of up to 1,700 nits to provide clear and lively images even inside brightened rooms, Samsung said.
