SEOUL, June 9 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics retained its position as the top-selling microwave brand in Europe last year, marking its 10th consecutive year at the top of the market, the company announced Monday.
According to market research firm Euromonitor, Samsung captured a 12% share of microwave sales across 19 European countries in 2024, leading all competitors in unit sales.
The company attributed its sustained success to a blend of advanced technology, consumer-focused design, and locally tailored features. Samsung’s microwaves are equipped with ceramic enamel interiors to enhance hygiene and durability—qualities particularly valued by European consumers. Its Bespoke line, known for customizable aesthetics, has also appealed to design-conscious buyers.
Last year, Samsung introduced Wi-Fi-enabled models compatible with its SmartThings ecosystem, enabling users to access a range of smart kitchen features.
“We will continue to deliver AI-driven solutions that seamlessly integrate with SmartThings, offering a connected and intuitive kitchen experience,” said Hwang Tae-hwan, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Digital Appliances Business Division.
