SEOUL, May 17 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. introduced a tactical edition mobile device during its participation in the 2023 Special Operations Forces Week (SOF Week) convention held in Tampa, Florida last week.
Derived from the Galaxy S23 and the rugged smartphone Galaxy X Cover 6 Pro, the tactical edition mobile device aims to enhance soldiers’ situational awareness and decision-making abilities.
“These solutions will provide warfighters with new technology to give them an edge in the field while providing IT teams with an easy-to-deploy, highly secure solution that meets the demands of a regulated environment,” stated Samsung via its U.S. newsroom.
Additionally, Samsung collaborated with mobile security firm Privoro to announce a mobile security feature integrated into the Galaxy S22.
This feature guarantees the secure deactivation of sensors and wireless hardware, even when the operating system is compromised, providing protection against spyware attacks on users’ mobile devices, the company said.
