SEOUL, Aug. 30 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. on Tuesday released a new PRO Ultimate SD and micro SD cards.
This product lineup offers a read speed of 200 megabytes per second (MB/s) and a write speed of 130 MB/s, setting a new standard in the UHS-1 category.
With a sequential read speed of 200 MB/s, transferring a 1.3-gigabyte (GB) movie file from a personal computer to a memory card takes 11.2 seconds.
The newly introduced cards are waterproof for up to 72 hours in depths of two meters of water and resistant to drops from heights of five meters.
Utilizing 28 nanometer controllers, Samsung enhanced power efficiency by up to 37 percent compared to the existing models.
