SEOUL, Mar. 7 (Korea Bizwire) –Samsung Electronics announced on March 7 that its innovative “Bespoke Rug” campaign for home appliances has been awarded the grand prize at the 2024 Consumers’ Choice Good Ad Awards hosted by the Korea Advertisers Association and the Korea National Council of Consumer Organizations.

The Bespoke Rug campaign was designed to allow consumers to visualize the actual size and placement of home appliances by creating rugs in the same dimensions as the products’ footprints.

This unique approach enabled prospective newlyweds to lay out the rugs on their floors, providing a tangible way to envision the arrangement of Samsung appliances within their living spaces.

The campaign received high praise for introducing the Bespoke Rug as a novel medium connecting Samsung appliances with couples planning their new homes, effectively encouraging consumers to consider Samsung’s offerings in their daily lives.

The Bespoke Rug collection featured 10 designs, encompassing seven popular appliance categories for newlyweds, including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, TVs, air purifiers, and air dressers.

Consumers could utilize these rugs as interior decor pieces, and if they wished to purchase the corresponding appliances, they could conveniently do so through the attached D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) tags.

Now in its 32nd year, the “Consumers’ Choice Good Ad Awards” recognize outstanding advertising campaigns that demonstrate creativity and effectively communicate valuable information to consumers.
