SEOUL, May 8 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. said Thursday it will unveil its new ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone next week.
The launch event, titled “Galaxy S25 Edge: Beyond Slim,” will be livestreamed at 9 a.m. (Korean time) on May 13, the company said in an invitation.
The event will be broadcast on Samsung Electronics’ official newsroom, website and YouTube channel.
A teaser video highlighted the smartphone’s ultra-slim profile, which is expected to be just 5.8 millimeters thick, significantly thinner than the Galaxy S25′s 7.2 mm and the Galaxy S24 at 7.6 mm.
Despite its slimmer design, Samsung Electronics said the Galaxy S25 Edge maintains the same cutting-edge features as the standard S25, including a 200-megapixel camera and integrated mobile artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
“The latest addition to the Galaxy S series is both a powerful AI companion and an engineering marvel, merging flagship-level performance with superior portability,” the company said in its newsroom.
The new Edge model was first previewed at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in March, drawing attention as Samsung Electronics’ slimmest smartphone to date.
