Samwon Garden Goes Global by Opening a Location in Jakarta

SEOUL, Korea, Nov 06 (Korea Bizwire) -  Samwon Garden, a traditional high-end Korean food restaurant with 37 years of history, opened its first overseas location in Jakarta, Indonesia. Established in 1976 under the name of “Samwong-jeong,” the restaurant has grown into one of the best-known Korean food establishments with the number of cumulative visitors in excess of 21 million.

The new restaurant will be open on November 17 and located at the Lotte Mall Fine Dining Zone inside Lotte Shopping Avenue in the center of Jakarta. It will present a variety of Korea’s high-end traditional dishes to Indonesian patrons.

At present, the Fine Dining Zone hosts a group of famous foreign restaurants, including “My Humble House,” a Chinese restaurant that offers contemporary Chinese cuisine, and “Hideyama,” a Japanese restaurant.

Samwon Garden’s Jakarta location will offer a variety of Korean foods, including bulgogi (traditional Korean dish of grilled beef), mul-nengmyeon (buckwheat noodles in chilled broth), and galbitang (beef short ribs soup).
