SEOUL, Aug. 1 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government said Monday it has transformed the deck near Nanji Pond in World Cup Park, western Seoul, into “Nanji Beach.”
The newly created beach boasts a waterfront and a sandy shore spanning 600 square meters. This beach replaces certain sections of the old deck within Nanji Pond.
To prevent sand from entering the pond, the city established a stone garden and planted various flora, including gold flame spireas and 10 other plant species.
Within this 400-ton sand-filled beach, a designated photo zone has been arranged, enabling visitors to capture picturesque moments with the pond as their backdrop.
Moreover, the city government intends to install parasols and sunbeds by the end of August.
