SEOUL, Oct. 15 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government will carry out a pilot project to collect potted plants, transfer them to recyclable pots, and re-parcel out them to social welfare facilities and public organizations.
The city plans to test-run the project for Seongbuk and Dobong districts this year, and expand it to all 25 municipalities by 2022 depending on the monitoring results.
The initiative not only collects potted plants, but also distributes nutritional supplements for plants and helps repot them so that people can keep their pots well-kept.
Furthermore, the city will also operate a “Moving Forest,” a moving garden vehicle that uses trucks in areas with a lack of green space.
