SEOUL, June 9 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government said Thursday it will expand the service that offers multi-use containers for food delivery.
Last year, the city government introduced this service in five districts — Gangnam, Seocho, Gwanak, Gwangjin and Seodaemun.
This year, they have added five more districts — Dongjak, Songpa, Seongdong Yongsan, and Mapo.
Customers in these districts can choose the multi-use container option when placing an order through three food delivery service apps — Baedal Minjok, Yogiyo, and Ddangyo.
The ordered items are then packed in these containers and bags for delivery.
After finishing their meal, customers can place the used containers back in the bag they were delivered in and leave them outside their front door.
To return the containers, they simply need to scan the QR codes attached to the bags.
This service does not incur any additional fees, and the returned multi-use containers are sent back to restaurants after undergoing a washing process.
