The “Rainwater Coin Bank” is a facility where rainwater from roofs and other places can be collected and kept in storage tanks.

The collected rainwater can be used for various purposes, such as garden landscaping or garden cleaning, to reduce the use of tap water.

The city has been supporting the installation of rainwater facilities since 2007.

It will also allocate a budget of 404 million won this year to support 100 small rainwater facilities, 10 schools and apartment buildings, and hold promotional contests.

Citizens who are interested in setting up a rainwater collection system can fill out an application form and submit it to their local district office for small rainwater facilities and City Hall for schools and apartment buildings.

If applicants are selected to participate in the program, they will receive financial support for installation costs.
