SEOUL, Dec. 2 (Korea Bizwire)The Hangang Project Headquarters under the Seoul Metropolitan Government said Thursday it will begin a project to revamp safety facilities set up on bicycle paths in Han River parks until 2024.

First, the agency will set up artificial intelligence (AI)-powered CCTV cameras and feedback signs in all 10 Han River parks.

If a bicycle exceeds a speed of 20 km/h, the feedback sign will display the speed along with a warning signal to slow down.

The agency will also set up safety lights in four locations to protect the pedestrians and bicycles crossing the bicycle path.

Safety lights will automatically turn on when approached by bicycles or pedestrians, giving off an alarm to help avoid collisions.
