Seoul District to Offer Courses on Making Traditional Fermented Food

SEOUL, Jan. 21 (Korea Bizwire)Seoul’s Seodaemun District will start a traditional fermentation school program for elementary, middle and high school students as well as undergraduates from March to December.

The program, comprised of eight courses, will be held at Gajwa Health Center or at local school facilities if needed. Each course will take about 90 to 120 minutes.

Instructors will teach students how to make soybean paste, pickled vegetables, pepper paste, and kimchi.

The program will invite 100 students. The district office will pay for the instructors as well as the ingredients used in class.
