SEOUL, June 12 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul has turned purple as it commemorates the 10th anniversary of BTS’s debut.
As part of the “BTS 10th Anniversary Festa,” Big Hit Music launched an offline event on June 12, adorning Seoul’s iconic landmarks with purple lights and media facades in the group’s distinctive color.
Namsan Seoul Tower, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Some Sevit, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Lotte World Tower, Seoul City Hall, Banpo Bridge, World Cup Bridge, Yanghwa Bridge, and Yeongdong Bridge have been illuminated with purple lights or media facades, as announced by the agency.
Moreover, outdoor advertisements commemorating the 10th anniversary will be showcased at Samsung Station, Teheran Road, Euljiro Entrance Area, and Myeongdong. The walls of the Hive office building in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, feature graffiti portraits of BTS members.
Overseas, outdoor advertisements celebrating the 10th anniversary will be displayed in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Osaka, Japan, to warmly welcome ARMYs.
In honor of their 10th debut anniversary, BTS released a new track called “Take Two” on June 9. The song has rapidly gained popularity, claiming the top spot on the iTunes Top Songs chart and global Spotify in 92 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
