Seoul, July 14 (Korea Bizwire)Spending a day on the beach or camping would be great on a hot summer day, but how about a walk in the woods in the city?

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has introduced flowered roads in the spring, maple tree roads in the autumn, and has now selected 190 places with cool shade from green trees where people can enjoy the summer breeze.

Samcheong-ro is easy to find, located between Gyeongbok palace and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary art. If you head towards Samcheong Park, there are many galleries and restaurants, making it the perfect spot for a date.

Hyoja-ro starts near the entrance to Gyeonbok palace. It is a quiet and peaceful road suitable for meditation. There is also a 550 year-old locust tree in front of the Canadian embassy on Jeongdong-ro which is worth visiting.

If you are having problems with the heat still lingering at night, taking a walk under the moonlight shining through the leaves or enjoying the nightscape of the city could be a solution.

The southern route of Namsan Park is right in the middle of the city, but has plenty of tall trees forming a tunnel that will make you feel like you are in a forest. If you go to the top of N Seoul Tower, you can take in panoramic views of the city.

Bugak Skyway is a famous driving course, where you can feel a cool breeze. If you go up the Bugak Palgakjeong, an octagonal pavilion, the temperature is 1-2 degrees lower making it the perfect place for a summer’s night.

If you want to see trees other than the ones you see every day, Haneul Park located at World Cup Park or the Metasequoia road along Gangbyeon Expressway would be good choices.
