SEOUL, Sept. 27 (Korea Bizwire) – The Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Metro, jointly with South Korean agricultural corporation Farm 8, opened a Metro Farm at Sangdo Station on Subway Line 7 on Friday.
Metro Farm is an exclusive brand created by Seoul Metro, in which a variety of plants are grown using artificial light and the temperature is automatically controlled via information and communications technology.
The Metro Farm in Sangdo Station covers an area of 394 square meters, and is comprised of an Auto Farm that manages all steps of growing a plant from planting to harvesting, and a farm cafe that offers fresh salad made from 12 different kinds of plants grown at the farm.
