SEOUL, May 23 (Korea Bizwire) – Seoul Metro, the operator of the subway service in Seoul, on Monday launched a new service that delivers luggage between Incheon and Gimpo airports and a subway station within a single day.
This service allows customers to check their luggage at a subway station while commuting to work and retrieve it at the airport for a hassle-free departure.
Foreign tourists with evening departure flights can conveniently check their luggage at the nearest subway station, spend the rest of the day exploring the city, and collect their belongings at the airport.
Customers can sign up for the delivery service either online or on-site. Online customers should register one day in advance of checking in their luggage.
Online registration is available at the official website, which offers language support in English, Chinese, and Japanese for international travelers.
On-site registration can be done at Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 and 2, as well as booths located at Seoul Station, Hongik University Station, Myeongdong Station, and Gimpo International Airport Station.
The delivery cost varies from 17,000 to 45,000 won (US$12.96-34.30), depending on the luggage size, delivery destination, and time.
