GOYANG, South Korea, April 6 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s largest mobility industry exhibition, the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, is off to a record-breaking start, drawing more than 200,000 visitors in its first three days.

Visitors at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show view a sports car from China’s BYD, making its debut at the Seoul event.
Organizers expect the event to surpass 600,000 attendees by its conclusion on April 13, eclipsing the 510,000 visitors recorded at the previous edition in 2023.
Held at KINTEX in Goyang, just outside of Seoul, this year’s show marks its 30th anniversary and features an unprecedented scale: 451 companies and institutions from 12 countries are participating, showcasing the broadening horizons of global mobility.
The exhibition opened officially on April 4 with 35,716 visitors on the first day. Attendance surged on Saturday with 88,454 people, and crowds continued to swell Sunday morning, packing both the venue and its surrounding area.
While the event remains anchored by major automakers, its growing diversity reflects a transformation in the mobility sector. Notably, HD Hyundai, a construction equipment manufacturer, became the show’s first-ever “headline partner” from outside the auto industry, debuting two next-generation excavators — among the largest machines on display, dwarfing even trucks and SUVs.
Children and families flocked to HD Hyundai’s booth, where visitors could climb into the massive excavators and engage in interactive experiences, including digital graffiti painting and toy construction equipment play stations under the company’s “Degururu” brand.
Meanwhile, Lotte Group attracted attention with a towering 3-meter “Bellygom” bear character at the entrance to its exhibit. The popular mascot also features in Lotte’s autonomous shuttle display and metaverse-based mobility simulation, both developed by Lotte Innovate.
The 2025 show also reflects the industry’s push beyond traditional land-based transportation. Exhibitors include developers of urban air mobility (UAM) solutions, drones, electric and hydrogen-powered ships, and robotics technologies — highlighting a future where mobility encompasses the sky, sea, and digital space.

As the Seoul Mobility Show continues through next week, it is not just a display of vehicles and machines, but a barometer of how quickly — and expansively — the concept of mobility is evolving.
