SEOUL, Aug. 26 (Korea Bizwire) – Marking the 130th anniversary of diplomatic exchange between Korea and France, Seoul’s Total Museum of Contemporary Art has arranged a special exhibit featuring modern installation and media art that has been recognized in France.

Entitled “Through the Listening Glass” in a nod to the famous Lewis Carroll novel ‘Through the Looking-Glass’, the exhibition will present 13 artworks from 10 overseas artists sponsored by the Lyon-based Grame National Center for Music Creation Project.

In line with the interconnecting themes – glass and sound – the works presented emphasize either the transparency and penetrability of glass, or incorporate elements of sound, enhancing the overall artistic experience.

“We took a look at Total Museum two year back for a potential exhibit, and we were mesmerized by the building’s architectural characteristics. So we decided to arrange a display here,” said James Giroudon, director of Grame.
