SEOUL, March 20 (Korea Bizwire) — Android users will be able to obtain information about the South Korean capital on their lock screen using a popular lock screen app.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said on Monday it has agreed to provide information about everyday life in the city for the smartphone lock screen media platform BuzzScreen.
With just one touch on the lock screen, smartphone users can be directed to Seoul’s official news site.
Seoul is the latest to join the Android app, alongside T-Money, OK Cashbag, Cj ONE, LG U+, Syrup Wallet, BC Card, and Hana Members.
With the mobile app boasting a monthly user base of 4.7 million, the Seoul Metropolitan Government is hopeful the initiative will help raise the number of visitors to its news website.
