SEOUL, Oct. 24 (Korea Bizwire) – The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on October 23 that it has designated 103 recommended routes for viewing autumn foliage across the city, expanding its previous list of 99 locations.
The updated selection adds four new destinations: Ohyeon-ro 20-gil in Gangbuk District, the cypress forest in Bongsan of Eunpyeong District, Maeheon Citizen’s Forest, and Yongsan Family Park.
The combined length of these scenic routes stretches 158 kilometers, featuring an array of trees known for their spectacular fall colors, including ginkgo, zelkova, and yoshino cherry trees, as well as metasequoia trees notable for their distinctive shapes.
City officials predict that fall colors will reach their peak around October 30 in the Bukhansan area, while downtown areas are expected to see peak foliage in early November.
Residents and visitors can access detailed information about the 103 recommended routes through the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s website or the Smart Seoul Map platform.
“We hope citizens will take time to experience the deepening autumn atmosphere and find moments of rejuvenation,” said Lee Soo-yeon, head of Seoul’s Parks and Recreation Bureau.
