Seoul’s Gangnam District Installs Air Quality Monitors at all Elementary Schools

SEOUL, Nov. 14 (Korea Bizwire)Seoul’s Gangnam district is installing fine dust indicators at all of its elementary schools.

The indicators will display four different colors – blue, green, yellow, and red – in accordance with the information received from the air monitoring facility at Gangnam District Office.

Blue, for instance, will mean that air conditions are good, while red will signify that fine dust has reached severe levels.

Gangnam district also plans to install additional fine dust indicators at 225 day care centers in the district next year.

The district currently has warning systems to alert residents via text messages in case of poor air quality, as well as other policies in place to tackle air pollution.
