SEOUL, Nov. 20 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul’s Seocho District has set up a feeding zone for stray cats in response to numerous complaints.
Disputes have been rising between local residents and so-called ‘cat moms’ and ‘cat dads,’ residents taking care of stray cats.
In response, the district set up a feeding zone for stray cats, inviting cat moms and cat dads to voluntarily manage the facility.
The feeding zone offers clean food to prevent the spread of disease, while working with veterinary clinics to neuter the animals.
In areas under redevelopment, in particular, the district set up a larger feeding zone to better protect stray cats.
