Sinan County to Create ‘Purple Isles’

SINAN, Aug. 22 (Korea Bizwire)Sinan County in South Jeolla Province plans to turn Banwol Island and Parkji Island into ‘Purple Isles’ abundant with purple flowers and crops.

The county planted 40,000 lavender plants to turn the islands purple. White cedar, empress trees, and other purple flowers and trees are being planted on the islands.

Visitors will be able to find hotels, restaurants and restrooms painted in purple, as well as purple phone booths. Even residential homes now have purple rooftops.
