SEOUL, Apr. 9 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s IT firm SK Broadband Inc. said Monday it has joined forces with popular chain Domino’s Pizza to allow users to track locations of orders using Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology.
SK Broadband said the delivery drivers of Domino’s will be given a device that connects to the ordering systems at shops, allowing users to check the locations of their pizza before arrival.
Users can check the information, including estimated arrival time, through the website or the chain’s smartphone application.
Domino’s plans to apply the service to shops that are directly managed by the headquarters and gradually expand the service to all stores in the country.
