SEOUL, Jan. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — SK E&S Co., the natural gas power unit of SK Group, said Wednesday its subsidiary Parking Cloud Co. will launch a charging service for electric vehicles (EVs) at 50 parking lots across the country.
Parking Cloud provides a one-stop solution ranging from parking to charging with access via a single app.
The company’s parking app i PARKING allows users to check charger information and make payments.
Parking Cloud plans to use vehicle number recognition technology to simplify the process of charger certification and to provide combined payment of parking and charging fees.
It has more than 5,600 direct-run and affiliated parking lot networks.
SK E&S plans to launch EV charging services by using Parking Cloud’s parking lot network, while offering a variety of mobility-based energy solutions.
Parking Cloud plans to expand the number of parking lot-based charging stations to 1,000 and install about 7,000 chargers by the end of this year.
