SEOUL, June 7 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean conglomerate SK Group held its 2017 SK Global Forum in New Jersey, America last Saturday in search of global human resources, as part of its preparation for a foray into the global market, the company said yesterday.

Members of SK Group’s senior management team including SK Energy and Chemicals Chairman Kim Jun, human resources Chairman Seo Jin-woo and other highly-placed officials from SK affiliates including SK Innovation and SK Biopharmaceuticals participated in the event where they shared the company’s vision and achievement with some 100 attendees.

SK’s Global Forum this year was held in the east coast region, an area home to a great number of prestigious universities and energy and chemical companies, as part of the effort to deliver on the management philosophy ‘Deep Change’ from Chey Tae-Won, the chairman of SK Corporation.

“As SK Group’s energy and chemical business has taken the top spot in the South Korean market, we are looking to branch into the international market as a global energy and chemical company. In order to grow as a competitive company in the global market, global talent is crucial,” Kim Jun said.

SK Group is scheduled to hold a forum of a similar nature in Silicon Valley on Thursday with officials including the likes of Chairman of ICT Park Sung-wook, who is set to speak on the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
