SEOUL, May 4 (Korea Bizwire) — SK hynix Inc., South Korea’s No. 2 chipmaker, held a picnic day in which the company rented the entire Legoland from Friday to Sunday, inviting 10,000 employees and their family members each day.
The event came as part of the company’s welfare package.
A grand opening of Legoland, a Lego-themed amusement park on Jungdo Island in the lake city of Chuncheon, is scheduled for this Thursday.
For the duration of the event, the company deployed shuttle buses for the convenience of employees and their families, so they didn’t have to take public transportation or drive their own vehicles.
Family photo programs and Lego speed-building contests, as well as company history quiz programs took place for those present.
Starting with the picnic day, SK hynix plans to hold family events regularly.
