SEOUL, Sept. 16 (Korea Bizwire) — SK Telecom Co., South Korea’s top wireless carrier, said Wednesday that it has introduced one-on-one interview sessions on a metaverse platform to hire new recruits.
The metaverse refers to a 3-D virtual shared world, in which all activities can take place with the help of augmented- and virtual-reality services.
The company will receive applications from university graduates and applicants with fewer than three years of work experience until Sept. 27.
Among them, 600 pre-registered applicants will access SK Telecom’s metaverse platform ifland for one-on-one interviews.
Applicants can decorate their avatars to appeal to their personality, and freely ask questions to HR representatives and staff.
SK Telecom plans to continue from earlier recruiting drives in April and June to hold the third round of recruiting for various departments including service planning and marketing.
Potential job applicants can find more information on available jobs at SK Telecom’s recruiting website. New recruits will start working at designated departments early next year.
