SEOUL, May 21 (Korea Bizwire) – SK C&C’s mobile enterprise application solution was selected as a platform of the mobile office system of MetLife’s Asia-Pacific operations. With the selection, the Nexcore Mobile solution became the standard of MetLife’s MOS.
SK C&C announced on May 21 that it won the order for MOS construction for MetLife India. The private contract was made following SK’s successful achievement in MOS constructions in MetLife Korea and MetLife China.
According to the terms of the contract, SK will establish MetLife India’s agency portal and e-subscription system into mobile devices based on its Nexcore Mobile solution.
SK’s Nexcore Mobile solution is praised for high productivity and completeness as it offers almost all mobile operating systems in one platform and can be applied to all forms of devices such as smartphones, tablets and smart TVs with only one development of application. It also reinforced its mobile security through additional functions like data encryption and automatic removal of app contents.
Upon completion of the system construction, employees at MetLife India can process various insurance tasks like customer registration, selection of insurance products, insurance plan, e-subscription and information inquiry at the sales spots through installing sales support app “eBranch” into their mobile devices like iPad and Galaxy Tab.
Kang Tae-in, director of Financial Business of SK C&C, said, “We are delivering innovation in the mobile insurance business based on our Nexcore Mobile. In addition to the financial sector, we will offer innovative mobile business platforms in various industries and lead the market with ‘premium IT services.’”
Meanwhile, its mobile insurance application Mobile Ubiquitous Life Insurance Access Network, or MULAN, developed for MetLife, was named the Asia’s Best Mobile Insurance Technology in the 2013 Asia Industry Award.
Met Mobile, a mobile office system built by SK C&C for MetLife in 2012, also received the Best Mobile Application Award at the Asia Insurance Technology Awards.
