BORYEONG, Jul. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — The charm of the Boryeong Mud Festival, South Korea’s leading summer festival, will be introduced to countries around the world through social media influencers.
The city of Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province, said 21 influencers from 11 countries have been on a Familiarization Tour, or Fam Tour at the festival site since Monday.
The influencers participated in popular festival programs, including the experience of 10 large mud baths and a mud obstacle course, posting on-site photos and responses and uploading videos of their experiences to YouTube.
Tina Yong, an Australian with 2.7 million subscribers on YouTube, said, “I’ve been curious about the Boryeong Mud Festival, and it was a thrilling experience. I think it’ll be memorable for a long time.”
