South Korea’s Largest Tech Expo ‘Smart Tech Korea 2025’ Opens in Seoul, Spotlighting AI and Quantum Breakthroughs

SEOUL, June 11 (Korea Bizwire) The nation’s largest tech business exhibition, Smart Tech Korea 2025, opened Tuesday at COEX in Seoul, bringing together cutting-edge innovations from around the globe under the themes of “Bold Technological Innovation” and “Shaping the Future.” The event runs through June 13.

Now in its 14th year, the expo features more than 400 companies from 14 countries, filling over 1,500 booths to showcase advancements in next-generation technologies, including AI agents, the ongoing “AI supercycle,” and quantum computing.

Organized around six key tech sectors — AI & Big Data, Robotics, Retail, Security, Smart Technologies, and Global Supply Chains — this year’s exhibition explores applications such as AI-driven industrial automation, robotics integration, and cybersecurity strategies.

Major participants include global tech leaders and innovators like SAP Korea, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Xiaomi, LG Uplus, Coupang, Doosan Robotics, Mind AI, Funzin, TeamViewer Korea, and Megazone Soft. Local tech hubs such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the technoparks of Gwangju, Gyeonggi, and South Chungcheong provinces are also taking part to spotlight regional innovation.

A highlight of the event is TechCon, a high-profile conference featuring speakers from CIFAR (Canadian Institute for Advanced Research), IBM Korea, and Unitree Robotics (China). They will discuss trends in AI, robotics, and security convergence technologies.

In parallel, the 13th Retail Industry Week, hosted by the Korea Distribution Industry Association, will include the Korea AI Industry Awards, recognizing companies leading in AI-based fusion innovation.

At Smart Tech Korea, an exhibitor is showcasing innovative interior design solutions that utilize robotics to optimize space efficiency, demonstrating how automation can enhance modern living environments.

Hands-on demonstrations will be featured on the “Accelerate Stage,” where companies exhibit real-world applications of their technologies. Visitors can also explore the “Smart Daily Life Pavilion,” an immersive space curated by Xiaomi to demonstrate home and office tech integration.

The “HIGHLIGHT Pavilion” offers a deep dive into the future of quantum technology and digital healthcare, emphasizing their potential to reshape global industries.
