SEOUL, Nov. 1 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s tallest skyscraper built by retail giant Lotte Group has been decorated with LED lights for the winter months, the building’s operator said Wednesday.
A total of 8 million LED lights will cover both the outside and inside of the 123-story Lotte World Tower, which opened to the public in early April. Under the theme “Harmony of Winter,” the lights will be lit every evening from this month till Feb. 26, according to Lotte.
In addition to lighting up the building, the retailer said it will work with luxury jewelry brand Bvlgari to set up a large Christmas tree and related decorations.
The 20-meter Christmas tree will feature multicolor lights that will change every 15 minutes depending on the Christmas carol being played, Lotte said.
The 555-meter-high building, located in eastern Seoul, has become a local landmark and has drawn millions of visitors since its opening.
