Choi Hyun-seok, head of marketing at SK Encar, explains the popularity of SUVs: “Many consumers were interested in SUVs and minivans that were launched in the first half of the year. Targeting the younger consumers, each brand highlighted the practicality of SUVs and minivans, as well as the reasonable price, savvy design and driving efficiency, making consumers realize that they are as good as sedans.”
