SEOUL, April 6 (Korea Bizwire) — Starbucks Coffee Korea Co. is expanding its social distancing measures to all stores nationwide.
The coffee giant reported Sunday that it will reduce the number of seats and tables in its stores as another measure to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Up to one third of seats and tables will be removed from stores, while tables will be arranged to maintain a distance of 1 to 1.5 meters apart. In addition, most of the tables will be rearranged for two.
Meanwhile, in order to maintain social distancing and secure enough space when placing orders, Starbucks Korea added another waiting line behind the safety line sticker.
Social distancing measures such as reducing the number of seats and tables had already been implemented at a number of Starbucks stores in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, which have been hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak.
