Matty, from France, expressed amazement at the superior sweetness of Miryang strawberries over those in France, while a Chinese attendee appreciated discovering the taste and potential culinary uses of Miryang strawberries.

Miryang holds a special place in Korea’s strawberry cultivation history, with its roots tracing back to 1943 when Song Jun-saeng, then a director at a financial cooperative, introduced about ten strawberry seedlings from Japan and planted them in Songjiri, Samnangjin-eup, laying the foundation for the country’s strawberry cultivation.
